Influences include D.C. hardcore groups: Fugazi, Hoover, and Nation of Ulysses; the Chicago sounds of June of '44 and Shellac; and the Southern tastes of Polvo and Slint. Roller-coaster dynamics, imbued with harmonic melodies and introspective lyrics, reflect only a portion of Enclave's interpretive stage show. And rumbling bass locks, in company with guitars that transition between aggressiveness and nostalgia, only begin to define Enclave's signature indie/math-rock sound.
At the present time, a self-released seven track EP entitled Sonatas & Interludes is receiving regular radio airplay on Bay Area college radio stations, including KALX-Berkeley, KZSU-Stanford, and KFJC-Foothill.
Recently, Enclave has shared the bill with: Chokebore, A Minor Forest, Sweep the Leg Johnny, Lowercase, Piebald, Still Life, Automatic 7, Stratego, Instant Girl, 400 Years, and God Stomper, among others.
Enclave is seeking independent label support for future releases, LP's, compilations, and splits, as well as expanded distribution for their self-release. Touring will continue as usual, with increased focus on breaking into new venues throughout the West Coast and hopefully nation-wide as well.
